The facial and thermal scanner project

On 10 December 2021, the facial and thermal scanner to ensure safe attendance for Covid19 prevention was installed at Masjid Sayyidina Abu Bakar UTeM. The device was used by the Friday congregational prayer attendees prior to entering the mosque. This project was a short-term top-down project that amounted to RM48,200 awarded by UTeM. The facial and thermal scanner was able to detect the temperature and the facemask requirement. If the thermal temperature is within the allowable limit and the attendees have the face mask the turnstile will open and allow entry.
